Project Background:
The client faces the following challenges in reporting to the People's Bank of China and managing CMDB resource configuration data:
- Difficulty in Collecting Regulatory Data: The data required by the People's Bank of China's regulatory requirements is scattered across multiple business systems, and there is no unified data collection and management mechanism.
- Insufficient data accuracy: There are differences between regulatory data and CMDB resource configuration data, making it difficult to ensure the accuracy and consistency of reported data.
- Distributed resource configuration management: Core banking systems, credit systems, payment systems, etc. maintain resource configuration information independently and lack a unified view.
- Poor data correlation: The resource configuration data of business systems, infrastructure, network devices, etc. is not effectively correlated, which affects the efficiency of problem location.
- Low level of automation: Reporting data to the People's Bank of China and managing resource configuration rely on manual processes that are inefficient and error-prone.
- Low resource utilization: Due to incomplete resource configuration information, it is difficult to perform effective resource optimization and cost control.
Project Content:
- Designed the technology information reporting model for the People's Bank of China: Built a unified resource data model that meets the regulatory requirements of the People's Bank of China, covering core IT assets such as network devices, compute resources, storage resources, and application middleware.
- Automated discovery: Achieve automatic discovery and real-time updating of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, as well as resources such as servers, hosts, virtual machines, storage, databases, and middleware.
- Data Quality Control: Establish a data verification mechanism to ensure the consistency of collected data with the regulatory requirements of the People's Bank of China, and realize automatic early warning of data anomalies.
- View on the comprehensive asset dashboard: Develop a comprehensive asset dashboard to monitor key asset indicators in real time, including resource utilization, device health, change records, etc., and support multi-dimensional data drill-down analysis.
- Integrate with the new bastion host system: Achieve deep integration between the CMDB and the Bastion host, automatically synchronizing host asset information and supporting automatic configuration of access rights based on asset information.
- Manage changes to the new ITSM system: Connect the CMDB to the ITSM system, automatically associate change requests with configuration items, and support change impact analysis and automatic post-change configuration item updates.
- Integrate the new monitoring system: Achieve automatic docking between the monitoring system and the CMDB, automatically configure monitoring strategies based on asset information, and support intelligent correlation analysis between monitoring alarms and asset information.
